I. Project Overview
The San Luis Valley Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) is seeking qualifications from
experienced and qualified Project Managers to oversee the BEST Grant Program facility renovation
project. The selected Project Manager will be responsible for managing the project, providing oversight,
and serving as the primary point of contact between the BOCES, the CDE, and the owner’s
representative.

II. Scope of Work
The Project Manager’s scope of work shall include, but is not limited to, the following:
1. Project Management: Coordinate and manage all aspects of the BEST Grant Program facility
renovation project, including the oversight of scheduling, budgeting, and quality control. Ensure the
project is completed within the specified timeframe and budget.
2. Oversight and Coordination: Provide comprehensive oversight and short-term coordination of
the project, including monitoring progress, identifying potential risks and issues, and implementing
appropriate mitigation strategies.
3. Communication and Liaison: Act as the primary conduit between the San Luis Valley BOCES and the
owner’s representative. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders,
including contractors, consultants, and other parties involved in the project.
4. Main Point of Contact: Serve as the main point of contact for the BEST Grant Program facility
renovation project from July 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024. Attend SAC and Board meetings, provide
regular updates, and address any concerns or issues that may arise during this period in coordination
with the Interim Executive Director.
5. Contract Management: Oversee and manage contracts with contractors, consultants, and other
service providers involved in the project, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and project
requirements.

III. Qualifications
Interested candidates should possess the following qualifications:
1. Demonstrated experience in project management, preferably in the field of construction or facility
renovation.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with
diverse stakeholders.
3. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
4. Knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and relevant
regulations.
6. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture) or
equivalent professional experience.

IV. Contract Term, Renewal, and Compensation
The initial contract term for the Project Manager will be from July 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024 with
total compensation of $12,000. However, the contract may be subject to renewal upon the approval of
the Interim Executive Director of the San Luis Valley BOCES, contingent upon satisfactory performance
and project requirements.

V. Submission Requirements
Interested candidates should submit their qualifications, including a cover letter, resume, and relevant
project references by June 27, 2024.
